Protesters gather earlier this month near the Capitol building in Washington, DC, to demand action on climate change.

President Biden headed to Europe Thursday where he will attend the United Nation’s climate conference, or COP26, in Glasgow, Scotland.

COP26 will be the most significant gathering to address our warming planet since global leaders convened in Paris in 2015. Back then nearly every country in the world signed an agreement to cut emissions of greenhouse gases in an attempt to curb rising temperatures. And though many countries have made progress on achieving those goals, scientists warn we are not moving fast enough.
