Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue have been married for 40 years.

During that time, the actress and her talk show pioneer husband had a couple of rules: don’t talk about their relationship in public and never work together.

But now, Thomas and Donahue have broken both of these. They’ve just released a new book titled “What Makes a Marriage Last: 40 Celebrated Couples Share With Us The Secrets To A Happy Life.”

Now, as the quarantine presents new challenges and opportunities in our relationships, the observations of Thomas, Donahue, and the rest of these long-married couples, seem more important than ever.
