Long before the current pandemic, Richard Haass has been thinking and writing about the future of international relations. What does it mean that America’s global leadership is waning? These are questions Haass seeks to help readers understand in his new book “The World: A Brief Introduction.” And, he believes, that coronavirus will accelerate the global trends already underway.
